An introduction to Homer . 12 weeks, 1 hour per week.

With this course we will attempt to view aspects of the Homeric world. We will study selected passages from Iliad and Odyssey in English translation*.We will learn about:

• the epic poetry
• Homer
• the Trojan war
• the adventures of Ulysses

*In order to study passages in Ancient Greek you must have advanced knowledge of the language.
