Koine (Κοινή) or Hellenistic is a form of the Ancient Greek language spoken and written during the Hellenistic period, the Roman Empire and the early Byzantine Empire. Koine is the language of the Christian New Testament, of the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible (Septuagint ) and of most early Christian theological writing by the Church Fathers.

Afterwards, we will study passages from the New Testament.
